He's On the Meds, and You're Still Watching Him Struggle
Ever watch him work up the nerve to climb the stairs, and wonder why the medication isn't fixing it? You did the responsible thing. You went to the vet, you gave him what they prescribed, and on the good days it helps.
But he's still taking the stairs one at a time. Still groaning when he lies down. Still letting the younger dog get to the ball first. One owner said it the way a lot of people feel it: "I thought we had reached a place of no return."
Managing the pain and helping the joint are two different jobs. Nobody hands you that with the prescription. The medication does the first one. It was never built to do the second.
